Walking For Wellness

Don’t let your chronic health condition hold you back from your fitness goals. Register today for Walking For Wellness, a six-week physical activity and weight management program lead by a Clinical Exercise Specialist to meet your unique needs. 

Classes will be led by a Clinical Exercise Specialist who will guide you through a personalized walking program considering your levels of fitness and physical barriers. You will be provided with the tools for motivation and goal setting in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.

Weekly discussion topics include:

  • Overcoming barriers and dealing with pain

  • Creative ways to increase exercise at home

  • Custom activity logs and more

After the initial 6-week program is complete, you can transition to a Strathcona County program of your choice, or be supported in your independent activities.

Getting Started

Classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:30am - 11:30am at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park.​
